Saudi Arabia will be the guest of honour at the New Delhi World Book Fair 2024 (NDWBF), which will take place from February 10 to 18 at Pragati Maidan in the Indian capital, New Delhi.

The Kingdom's participation is based on the two countries' long-standing historical links. Saudi Arabia's involvement is scheduled to include an integrated cultural experience sponsored by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission.

The Heritage Commission, the Music Commission, the Film Commission, the Culinary Arts Commission, and the Fashion Commission, as well as the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah), will represent various Saudi cultural sectors in order to showcase the Kingdom's knowledge, heritage, antiquities, culture, and arts to the Indian public.

Saudi Arabia's participation in the book fair will include the presentation of a variety of cultural programmes, such as seminars and dialogue sessions, covering a wide range of topics in the cultural, artistic, literary, and cognitive fields, with writers from the Kingdom and local publishing houses participating to introduce national talents and creativity, as well as to evoke ancient national culture. Two celebrations will be hosted in conjunction with the participation to introduce Saudi food and traditional performing arts from the Kingdom.

It is worth noting that the New Delhi World Book Fair 2024 is one of the most prestigious global book fairs. It debuted for the first time in 1972. Over 600 multinational publishing firms that bring together the products of the world's cultures will participate.

The mega-book festival. The National Book Trust of India, which operates under the Ministry of Education, organises the Fair.

Saudi Arabia's participation is based on the two friendly countries' strong fraternal relations, as well as the Ministry of Culture's desire to increase international cultural exchange as one of its strategic goals under the Saudi Vision 2030.
